Yes you can put them with other fish
Out of my own experience they get along with fish as follows
zebra danios
Balloon mollies
sunburst platies
female guppies (not the males, they have to fancy fins)
neon tetras
cory cats ( bottom feeder)

Hope that helps
Good luck

dont pay attention to the different individuals you may positioned yet another fish in at the same time with your betta a tropical fish of corse. in a tank and that they could be advantageous IF the different fish isn't fancy tailed. I also have a betta in a 30 g with 8 shrimp 2 african dwarf frogs a million mollie snails a million albino cory and what i think of is named a silver greenback.I even have yet another 30 gal with 2 male bettas and approximately 8 females and that i breed them and sell them

It is a common misconception that you can't keep bettas with other fish.

You will often hear something like "They are FIGHTING FISH and will kill any other fish." This is absolutely not true.

Betta are called fighting fish because male bettas are exceedingly territorial and will fight any other male betta for that territory.

However they are not overly aggressive to most other fish, although it's best not to keep them with other long finned fish. I have seen cases where male bettas were agressive to other long finned fish, and I can only assume that they mistook that fish for another male betta. It's best to keep them with shorter finned fish.

Since they are a long finned fish and cannot swim quickly don't keep them with fish that like to nip fins. Fish like barbs are not a good choice as they have a habit of chasing other fish and nipping at their fins. Bettas simply cannot get out of the way and will end up with damaged fins in a tank with fin nippers.

With the right mix of fish you can keep your male betta in a community tank with out any problems.

Yes, you can. And don't listen to anyone who says that you cannot, because I've personally had a fighting fish and other kinds of fish together.

The simplest answer, without spouting a loong list of different kinds of fish, it to choose a variety that doesn't have a long, fancy tail. Bettas do tend to pick on varieties that have these qualities.

I'm sure 'she' does. However, the truth of that matter is that you can keep Bettas and dissimiliarly looking fish in the same tank as long as they all have similiar water parameter needs. Mostly this means a temp around 78-83F and a ph of 6-8.

You can put male betta fish with female batta fish or females with females but if you put males with males they could attack each other.

Yes you can but i wouldnt recommend puting with Tiger Barbs or Certain types of gouramis since they fin-nippers.

They only attact to their own kind unless its females they can stay in a small group.

Even with the fin-nippers the betta wont fight back.

Hope this info helps

You can put it in a tank with any fish except other bettas. I have guppies in with mine and it does fine. I have plenty of plants to hide in. I put it in a net every night and feed it there so it doesn't kill the fish while they are sleeping. He goes in the net because he knows he is fed there.
