/'What if C-A-T really spelled 'dog'?
//'Wow....'
Rogue Squire asked this question here:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Am5ECsoGee5pj0nCkJNEqseGxQt.?qid=20070720231609AAywJWC
But it deserves to be here.
I'd nominate it for the Best Question of All Time.
Yahoo QA Philosophy's a finely tuned resource instrument for fleshing out fictional characters and for dialogue ideas a writer would be hard pressed to surpass.
I love it for those reasons. But, Rogue Squire gave me a deep belly-laugh appreciation for it I hadn't quite identified before.
Hasn't he found the secret bedrock of why we all secretly read these posts, once the facade of logic and ideas is stripped away?

One too many 'secrets' in that last sentence. Feel free to remove the one of your choice.

I guess that you can experience a massive change in perspective when you have been smoking - although it is not a habit of mine - once I was with three of my friends, listening to music (like we've never heard it before) after a little session, and when we turned off the radio that had been playing, we all "warped in" again to reality at the same time, it was quite remarkable as we all commented about it. Once I started thinking philosophically after a session, and I felt like I had some major revelations, however, when I woke up the next day I poked several holes thought the "theories" that I had come up with before...but they were good food for thought.
When in deep thought, or when I engage in "intelligent" conversation with other people, I also I seem to "warp out" to a different perspective of the world - I become much more articulate in my speech, and my tone of voice and speed of speaking slightly increase - and after I "warp in" again to my everyday tasks, I look back upon my thoughts and conversations and ask my self "what on earth was I thinking/doing, it seems so silly to me now!"

I asked my son "if someone hurts you badly, how long should it take you to forgive them?" "Five minutes" was his response. I clarified, "but we're talking about something REALLY AWFUL that someone did and it hurt your feelings VERY BADLY. Why only five minutes?" He was 11 years old. He has autism, which sometimes affects his phrasing. "Because I don't want to be mad at them so hard" was his response. He packed a lot into 11 words: 1) Being mad at someone is a choice. 2) It takes a effort and energy to be mad at someone...it's hard! 3) By implication, the easier path is to let it go and stop wasting the energy. Sure, there are more flowery ways to say it...but Bob nailed the essentials: Being mad costs energy you could use on other things.

Archie lived with a Weedhead son-in-law for years, or was he just a Meathead - in any event, I say Archie has definitely got a point.

In the night, the dead stand along the wall and cry....They're crying because it's dark, not because they cannot see the wall...maybe that's why they raise a great tumult, and/or maybe that's why they howl and rage!0!
Good luck!

If C-A-T spelled 'dog' then stoned douchebags would be asking 'Wow, what if C-A-T spelled 'cat'? Totally trippy dude, pass the bong'
