Poisonous, lethal, flesh eating, corrosive, hazardous materials.
Also, a biting or lethal sense of sarcasm or wit. Not necessarily a good thing.
A caustic personality would be considered poisonous or extremely mean. A person that erodes the spirit, and attacks the soul.
I can't put any positive spin on this word.
