Isometric Strength is defined as the maximum force a person can exert against a fixed bar. This type of testing can extract a lot of information on the person's muscle performance. It is also one of the most widely used means of muscular testing. Isometric tests are relatively simple to perform and the information you get is easy to interpret.

By isometric testing you can gain information on:
Maximum strength
Muscular balance, right - left, front - back

Isometric testing can be used in the fitness or rehabilitation setting alike. By testing we can detect deficiencies and be able to target the training to right areas. You can also naturally track the progress of a person.
