Why do you like him? What is so good about him? and his politics that make you say, wow i like this President?
I do not like his politics, but other than that he's ok. I wish he was not the President, but my vote didn't count this time so oh well.
Thanks, for the SERIOUS answers!

Often times people ask me why I like Bush, and the fact is that I don't. I just don't DISlike him enough to pretend to agree with the many MANY people who seem to like to claim he's evil incarnate. It's really amazing to ask the question "why do you dislike Bush?" and the reasons given simply don't match the facts, but it doesn't matter to anyone.
No, I don't like him as a president the way I liked Reagan or Jefferson or a woefully few that actually promoted Liberty in America, but his intentions are good and he hasn't done any damage, which is a lot more than I can say for the former and possible future presidents Clinton.

Everyone with a reasonable amount of intelligence ( and sanity) knew what would happen in Iraq if the u.s. military invaded and occupied that country. Apparently our president was the only person who knew the situation in the middle east who thought differently. People say that Bush has prevented any attacks since 9/11, but they forget that those terrorists spent 5 years planning to attack us with 20 soldiers.
According to a 2006 congressional report on immigration they are massing an army in this country by coming in the same way every other illegal immigrant is coming into this country. When all hell breaks loose in our streets because those idiots in Washington refused to secure our borders, I say we take the terrorists out and then we execute anyone and everyone who has held office in the federal government since 9/11.
Impeach Bush, Cheney, Reid, and Pelosi!!!!!

I like him for his economic policies that turned the economy around. I know people out there are going to say the economy was good under Clinto but they are incorrect. The stock market went down 30% in the last year of Clinton. It is now pushing 14000. With nearly 70% of Americans invested in the stock market, so it just isn't for rich people.
I was against going to war in Iraq, but now that we are there we need to finish the job we started, even though we are in the middle of a civil war there. We can't leave the country worse than when we got there. Although even with all the deaths of Iraqi citizens now it is still less than that under Sadam.
Unfortunately Bush has some left wing thoughts on immigration and spending. Which are more of a concern to me than the the war.
Guardian: I would agree with you if you would add Clinto to that list.
Is DCIII really Rosie??

Ignoring the news media and the Hollow-wood nuts trashing him, I think the best thing I like about President Bush is how he has seen a threat that several other presidents knew existed and how serious it is and (even though it has made him unpopular to some) has been fighting to do something about the terrorist situation. If you had listened to him from the start (and not the 'talking heads') you would be able to see that he is seriously concerned about the threat of terrorism. He has remained steadfast. He is the only one who has had the courage to actively expose the problem and try to do something about it. As for the Liberals, it is unfortunately going to take another attack like 911 or worse to wake them up. They need to stop playing politics and start doing their jobs.

I don't like him. He seems to act tough, kind of like John Wayne used to on his movies. That made John Wayne popular and it helped GWB. Unfortunately, a politician acting tough is not like an actor acting tough. We are the thirty-second sound byte society.
Mom and Pop never told him, "Georgey, you're not John Wayne." Neither did we.

Do you like Abraham Lincoln? A lot of people didn't. Someone hated him so much he shot and killed him.
My point? President Bush has done what he thought was right for the US. The events of 9-11 dictated he act. If he hadn't acted, you would be posting a question about why he didn't act.
Historians have yet to pass judgment on President Bush. Arm chair presidents can do it all they want. This is what history is all about.

I don't like anything about him. He is an evil warmonger and war profiteer so driven by greed and ego that he can't govern our country with sanity. He is also a yellow bellied coward, so afraid of war when it would have put HIM at risk, he hid out during the Vietnam War. Our country will suffer for many, many years with the Iraq people coming over here to enact revenge on us for Bush destroying their country and loved ones. God help us.

I admire any president who attempts to lead instead of following public sentiment or, do what is needed to 'get along' and I think he has tried very hard to prevent future strikes against our country, which is more than his predecessor even thought about doing.
He has without doubt put a stir into Iran, which is why they are covertly fighting for Iraq so viciously. They know they can't make good on their jihad against Israel or, western culture when they have us there breathing down their backs. - That is good.
I like him overall, view him as being honorable and humble and wish he could stay for four more.

He's not a GREAT President but he's done a good job in a very trying time for America. He's done an excellent job fighting terrorism and protecting us from further attacks but he's soft on ILLEGAL immigration and border security which may, ultimately be our downfall.
He's not perfect but he was the best choice at the time and, given the current crop of candidates, I'd vote for him again before I'd elect any of the Democrats.

I like him because he does what he believes is right...not what he thinks will make him popular. He has always stuck by his decisions and doesn't change his opinion based on what is popular (like say...Hillary Clinton who originally voted to go to war in Iraq). He is honorable and moral. He is doing his job. I believe that he is a genuinely good person. I know that he is very saddened by all the lives that have been lost in the war. He is trying to protect our country from dictators like Sadaam Hussein who refuse to comply with the UN. What is the point in having regulations if you are not going to enforce them? As one of the most powerful but vulnerable (as we have seen from 9/11) countries in this world, we cannot afford to let people like him do whatever they want. Bush did the best he could with the information that he had...and now a dictator on the scale of Hitler is gone, the world is a safer place, and evil people like Sadaam know that we will do anything in our power to protect our country and democracy.
