Linger
Delay my leave
To obsolete
For it is not
My strength that lingers
I want tomorrow
Only if it is mine
But even the walls know
Dreams are for dreamers
I speak and I will
Not fail my word
Diversion is small
In a world so vast
Astound me
In plain sights
I see the value
The worth to linger
Oh but to use the word
In your favor
Is a deed not of respect
I’ll say desire
As I stay
In hopes of the same
If I walk ahead
Take thee step with me
Let us not linger
While the sun is still
A scorch distracts
But we stay to shade
