Someone I have been chatting with is asking for help to pay for the hospital bill for his son who was in an accident. I do not know him well enough to give money to and I know there are a lot of scammers there. Does Nigeria have any places where someone could get help with paying the medical bills there? So far in my research I have not found anything.

There are (cheap) public hospitals in Nigeria. The quality of the service is appaling.
There is no public help for people who (wisely) opt for treatment at private hospitals. However, since it is mandatory, most employers have a health insurance sheme covering their permanent employees (and in some cases their spouses & children).

That being said, I'd be extremely wary sending money to anybody you only know via internet (if you thing otherwise, I'll be happy to send you my bank account details) and ESPECIALLY if the request comes from Nigeria; the birthplace of the 419 scams.

My fiance was sent to Nigeria to do a job and is stuck there. His boss will not help to get him home. I have gotten him the money to come home but they want him to get another shot which is 1300 dollars. I have no other way to get that much to him. Is there a place he can go to get it a lot cheaper a missionary helping out over there. If you know of anything would be most helpful as his yellow card does not have much time left on it. He is in Lagos

Thanks

Be wary! Be very wary! Sounds like a typical Nigerian scam. That place is in anarchy; and honor seems not to exist there, among most other things, many other things, lacking there because greed runs rampanat and nothing is left, apparently, for the poor decent people there. If your "friend" doesn't know of a source of help for "his son," how in the world would you know? Run!
