The fact is obama considers himself black. His white grandma was part Indian for those of you who don't know. To be exact he is more like 59-60% black. Go do some research and do a search on his grandmother its not that hard. I meet obama in chigago before he was a senator and he has always considered himself black. Obama himself said he was treated as a black man He actually finds it funny that some people want to cliam him as white as soon as he won the election. But since he was a child he has always been treated as a black person because he is one. Im Biracial and have always been treated as a black person and guess what im a bit lighter skinned than obama as well. I have experienced racism first hand and no one has ever asked me if im half white before committing racist acts towards me. In this country, less than a century ago, in many places, you weren't allowed to use 'white' facilities, including schools, restaurants, trains cabins etc. if you were one sixteenth African or more. The racism is based primarily on skin color, not on genetics. No matter what any of you say obama always has and always will consider himself a black man and so do I. Obama has had first hand experience with racism and that effects it causes in ones lives. Guess what none of you where there when that happened to him. I done. These same white people who are rushing to claim him as half-white would just as soon ignore his white heritage were he a criminal rather than the President of the United States. hey never looked at Rosa Parks being mixed when she got arrested for not giving up her seat on the bus. All Black people are mixed anyway, which explains why we come in so many different shades of colors. When he attened school as a younger child he was treated diffrent because of the fact that he is black. For those of you who don't know bi-racial is not a race. Barack obama has said over and over again that he is black. The reason the media calls him black is because he is black. Reporters have asked him if its ok to call him black he he has said it was fine. By law obama is a black man and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Bi means 2 the child is of two races, he is not half breed but he is biracial. I'm a full blood American mutt. More American Indian than any one other race, but still Heinz-57. Just love the child what difference does it make, all our blood is red!!!

I would see the child as Mixed or mostly Black ( because Biracial is a product of two full races )

Also we're I come from , somebody who is like that is sometimes called a '' Cabrito '' ( although it's a term that is usually used when one of the parents is Caucasian , White or Latino and the other one is Biracial or Mulatto/Mulatta )

Indian as in Native or Latin (think Islamic, Muslim)? Most black ppl say they're mixed w. Native indian, but I don't believe them. Maybe they just happen to be light skinned w. nicer grain of hair. Its funny b.c most of the time they can't name whom or prove any evidence that they have any indian in them. You know some blacks avoid Mexicans when Mexicans have mostly Native American in their blood than a black person would likely. So... its really contradicting.

I would say that the child is mainly Black. The child is at least 75% Black and 25% Indian. I wouldn't call the child mixed or bi-racial because only one of their parents is mixed.
