I too have a problem with people. I do not like strangers or being in crowds. At times I just stay away in bed. Strangely it was not a factor in door-to-door ministry. Once I got there, I could talk to anyone. This was because it was holy spirit helping me. None of us speaks on our own. If we did, few would be able to do it. Really learning and studying what the Bible truly says causes a feeling of freedom and joy. When you get to that point usually people can't wait to tell someone. Possibly your boy friend is not the right person to study with you. Often those closest to you makes for bad teachers as personal feelings get in the way of teaching. Maybe not in your case but it should be considered. Like you I have given talks in class (and before the congregation) and felt terrified, wishing to jump out the window, needing to go to the restroom several times. Sound familiar? Prayer helped. Going house to house though, I had no fear. I faced dogs, mean people, harassment with no problem. Fewer people and prayer wiped out my inbred fears. So don't worry. Talk to other spiritually mature people. Always honor your father, but continue your study. Talk to him honestly how you feel. Sounds like he raised a pretty good daughter. So he should be a good councilor.

Most of the times...lol Depends on the situation. I don't like to talk confident in something I don't know because I don't want to mislead people.

I always thought i did, until i took a speech class where the teacher video taped us and made us watch ourselves and i realized that i don't come off like i think i do, so i've started trying to talk more confident, but i feel like people take it as i'm being bitchy?

Yes, very much so however I have to admit, there was a time when I did not. Reason being, I was afraid of what people would think, now I can care less. I speak what is on my mind and if they like it, fine, if they don't, it is okay too.

Yes I do. I like to pronounce my words loudly as well. I am more than happy to be myself, and no negative person will get in my way. =]

Take care,
