I think it is all a matter of what you are comfortable with. As long as you have common ground and you can communicate without feeling intimidated, one way or the other. Respecting that person for their accomplishments and differences, there should never be a compatibility issue. My Dad was a labourer, he swabbed toilets and swept floors with a sixth grade education. My Mom was a genius who became a nurse. She is an accomplished seamstress and is incredibly artistic, as well. They were 15 years apart in age. They loved each other until the day my Dad passed away 9 years ago. My Mom has not remarried, she still loves my Dad. He was so tickled by her accomplishments and never spared the compliments. No one is out of your league unless you make it so.

when i was young i thought so - but now that i have been around the block a few times i know that no woman is out of my league

it's only a matter of going to the places where the hot ones hang out

I think a great sense of humor, positive outlook on life, good conversation and having things in common usually takes care of all those feelings.
