yea thats wat they are for. dont go swimming with a pad. and definitly dont cut the strings. i dont kno wat one of the other people was saying. just make sure that its inside your suit. but DO NOT cut it. make sure you use a heavy enough absorbancy so it doesnt leak when you get out of the pool.

My old girlfriend used both a tampon and pad if she was swimming in a pool after one incident where a sudden gush turned a spot of pool red. No-one saw, but the chance for embarrassment horrified her.

If you're swimming in the ocean, remember that some sharks can "smell" a single drop of blood in the water from a quarter-mile away... On the other hand, in a lake or ocean, no one will see an oops like my gf had...

Yes. You can do anything when you are on your period as long as you have a tampon. Just make sure that you either tuck the string or cut it so it doesn't hang out of your suit. Good luck!
They actually make stringless tampons, so ther is no problem with cutting the string unless you are afraid to touch your own vagina to retrieve the tampon. It's easy to get them back out. How do you think nude dancers work when they are on their periods? (Spec. jersum27)

yes, that's what's so great about tampons. you can do anything you could do without your period, which you can't with pads. you can't swim with pads, and it's uncomfortable playing sports with them. tampons are great, just make sure you change it like every 4 hours. if you leak and it gets on your baithing suit it would be pretty embarrassing, goodluck!
