Both break with their party and speak their minds. They are beholden to know one it seems.

Question? Can I support them if I don't work for their campaigns? I don't want to get in trouble with the "Chickenhawk Guy".

They are two of the most unpopular politicians in America, yet they go around acting like they are the "Middle Ground".

Newsflash! People actually LIKE politicians on the Middle Ground. So if nobody likes you...

Chickenhawk guy is a patriot in his own way, and is showing less and less tendency to call our representatives names or otherwise be unpatriotic, while still not pulling punches about the points he makes (sometimes ad nauseum, but it is free speech... .)

He's been friendly to me and I've disagreed with him more than most. Being as outspoken as he is, I think he would hate it if someone caved to pressure and refused to state their mind.

I would.

I support Lieberman. The combo you just mentioned is my vote, if they do it. Nice.

Helps to look past the words at the person behind. Of course that doesn't necessarily mean being any gentler!

There's a reason they break with their parties - they're both old, senile, out-of-touch, lobbyist-bought, hawkish politicians who have spent too much time in the D.C. and not enough time in the real world here with the rest of us Americans.
