Hi, I can't really tell you the answer, but I can show you how to solve it, and you can compute for it yourself.

4(0.18x + sqrt 2) = (sqrt 11)x + 1
0.72x + sqrt 2 = (sqrt 11)x + 1
(sqrt 2) - 1 = (sqrt 11)x - 0.72x
[(sqrt 2) -1] / [(sqrt 11) - 0.72] = x

So just compute for x then.

Hope that helps!!!

Tell me that you at least know WHAT to do? Brackets mean you must multiply the number outside the bracket into the brackets. Multiply 4 X 0.18 and 4 X root 2.

Then collect all the "x"'s on one side of the equal sign, and the numbers on the other and solve for x.

Not that tough a question, really.
