my guppy just had a baby guppy. I put the female in a different tank then the baby guppy. i just wanted to ask how long do guppies take to be fully grown, and how long should the female/mom be apart?

Guppies mature in about 3-4 months. You only need to keep the fry separated until they're big enough that the adult guppies can't fit them in their mouths. I've used planted tanks for breeding them and the babies can survive in the same tank as the adults, if given enough places to hide.

i have had mine ready to go with their mum within a fortnight of their birth and if your mum only had one baby it should be quite large so it should be large within a month unless mama guppy is still pregnant... does the mum still have a round belly and a black spot near its bum? their might be some more baby's on the way :). hope all goes well happy breeding!
