First take the battery out of the phone and let it dry overnight, then hook it all back up and see if it will boot. I would give SERIOUS consideration to replacing it even if it worked, just remember when you put your mouth next to it, where that phone has been.
As for the phone numbers, just pull some of your old bills from online at www.verizonwireless.com for the most part, you shouald be able to recognize numbers and put names to them...
Good luck

Depending on your phone, most of the time contacts are saved on the SIM card in your phone. You may still be able to take your SIM card to your cell phone company and have them copy the numbers off of it. Chances are your SIM card still works even if your phone does not.

You are out of luck. Next time buy a phone which allows you to sync contacts with your computer.
I have come to realize this is most important feature in any new phone that I buy.
