Lego Star Wars 2?

I am having trouble getting to the Falcon on Gamecube. Walkthroughs say to destroy shield generators, I can't figure out how to. HELP!

All you have to do is shoot them with the turrets. But one time when I did that level, I couldn't destroy them for some reason. I think it was a glitch or something. Maybe that happened to you too.
