If it is out of level more than a quarter of an inch than you can use strips of quarter inch hardibacker for the low spots. Then use the liquid self leveler and pour it over the whole floor. This will create a nice level surface for a floating laminate floor. You can also use thin set mortar for the deep spots as well.

Check with a home improvement store. they have a leveling liquid that you pour on the floor and let set up. This will level the floor. good luck.

They have leveling material for floors at your Home Improvement Store--Lowe's or Home Depot, etc.
We had to use it for our floor as it was very uneven and sloped like crazy.

If your floor is that far out maybe you should check for a foundation problem.
