We need to make something ( or rather anything ) for our chemistry project...
It can be anything from bio-diesel to perfumes.....
or it can be testing various water samples for purity...
I need some topic which is very relevant today ( like biodiesel which has already been taken up )....HELP

Since the latest is the the disposal of plastic bottles and how they are filling up landfills, how about taking plastic bottles (from water, soda and juice) and exposing them (carefully) to various chemicals such as vinegar, bleach, etc., and do they breakdown easily. But be careful because when plastics are burned and possibily exposured to certain chemicals, they could and do produce toxic fumes. Perhaps that could be the subject ---- how to dispose or reuse them without harming the environment or putting people at risk to inhale the fumes.
