If all else fails , there are companies that do
what is called an ozone treatment to the whole
house (all living things must be out for 24-48 hours)
You can find them in most yellow pages.
This is the same treatment that is used at crime scene
clean-up , fire restorations, mold mitigation ,etc
It will take out ANY smell- pets, smoke, etc

Talk to a professional cleaning service or supply place, or even a Crime Clean Up service. They have to clean up a lot worse than excrement.
Don't seal anything until you know it works.
Next time - get the house inspected before you sign the papers!

oh my goodness...your misfortune has just taught me a very important lesson. hope what ever you do, that it works. but...most likely to get rid of that smell, you are going to have to rip everything out, and redo it.
i had a friend that had to rip out the carpet in a bedroom, and even treat the cement to get rid of pee ...yuck!
