I feel so sad to observe almost soulless people. It is invigorating to chat to the odd soul who is breaking out and has the guts to question things.

Malnourished, frightened, and slow-moving.

Keep'em scared, saddened by a war, and fed a steady diet of FDA-approved garbage, medicate them if they think too much or become sad at what they see or if they can't sleep because of it, and you got a nation of zombies. Don't forget Fox News...and diversions like the new Harry Potter book or other pop culture uselessness.

If they only knew.

They would see that life is beautiful.
And they would snap out of it.

Because people are watching to much TV. Not only that but people are letting themselves believe everything they are told by anyone with authority. When I look around I see people raised by pop culture, not their parents. Its funny how many people dont realize just how much crap like that influences kids and young people. I traveled over seas for three years. Every year I came home more people were falling into the meat grinder. I call it MASS-MINDEDNESS. The sad part is this kind of mentality is trickling down from us onto 3rd world countries. Have you ever seen a starving kid try to dance like Michael Jackson?

A chase for money, success, fun, or prestige is an empty road. The only thing that uplifts the soul is family, God, service, and the wonders of nature. Most people chase the former rather than the later.

there is a line in the movie "Joe vs. the Volcano" where Loyd Bridges says "...that most people live their whole lives asleep.." which is true. most people want the status quo, to be setteled into a nice little rut where they don't have to do or think much. i, too, like to meet people who get tired of their rut and break out. it shows they are using their mind to do more that keep their skulls from collapsing in on its self... lol
