Absolutely and that is not an easy place to be. It's hard enough to say I love you, for the first time. The fear of the unknown and rejection is pretty strong!
I do understand.

Many many times, but then, I'm a lover...I fall in and out of love several times a day.
Come on now, it's true...you see a beautiful person walking down the street....you momentarily fall in love and then you jump on back to reality and think...naw....it wouldn't work.
The reality is this, when you say "I love you" you create expectations, either from your end or they, from their end.
No matter which end is not having expectations met, someone is going to go home unhappy.
Rarely do two people find enough in one another that makes that sort of magic for more than an instant....poof ...it's gone.
When you have a good friend and a lover, that is magic...pure magic.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. It's even worse when you KNOW what the exact results would be, especially m one friend whom I still love. She knows I like her and possibly knows I love her but I didn't want to say it because I was afraid I would lose even our friendship, and well, she's in Texas now due to Fam probs. Now I wonder if I should have told her.

Yes, that was because the boy I was only wanted a girlfriend to hold hands with and all that crap. I was afraid that if I told him I loved him he'd say something like "we're not supposed to do that Angi..".
Well... i guess he probably wouldn't since he said it himself at around this time last year lol! But i know he would have if we were still together at this time.

No. I don't like holding back my feelings, and I don't fear the outcome. I always fear that I won't have the opportunity to say it again.

Yes...if you say it and he doesn't say it back, thats pretty akward........and if you say it too soon and he breaks up with you right there because he doesn't , that sucks.......but never hesitsate for too long.....you tend to regret things you were too afraid to do more than what you did do and made a donkey out of yourself doing.......
