Oh honeybun, just because I see you alone in the streets of Manila (or anywhere in the Philippines), I don't assume that you are single. I'd rather not assume anything based on what I see. So honestly there's nothing going on in my mind except maybe to think of you as a tourist, that's all.
BTW, I'm not in the Phils. now but I still go home occasionally.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I see one is "Oh, she's a tourist." But oftentimes we think of all whites as Americans forgetting that they could be Germans, British, French, Australians, Canadians etc. Those who stare at white people are those who don't see them often in their lives and it just continues to amaze them. And mostly they are children who would like to have a bar of chocolate or 1 dalar (1 dollar).

When I see a white woman, I think... Well, nothing really. I just chill, 'ya know. I see a lot of white people everyday, and I've kinda gotten used to you guys being around already. Besides, I work with a lot of foreigners. When I see a white person, I see just another human walking in the streets. ^_^

I don't stare at them when I'm in the Philippines. I see enough of them here in the UK.
But I can't help but notice how SOME Filipino men do stare at them. There are lots of whities in the Philippines these days compared to lets say 15-20 years ago. But I wouldn't go as far as to say they are common in my country.
I bet the men staring are thinking "What do I possibly have to do to get her attention?" or "I wonder how it would be like to spend an entire day around here with her skin color".
Maybe.

well if you are in the malls...they will surely glance at you because its not very often to see for other "common" people to see foreigners...If you are in high class malls or department stores then you will only be considered as common 'cos most people there are used to foreigners already...
well if you are in the club/disco or in a "gimik-area" then staring and checking you out is a common theme among party-goers...
well I'm sure a single white woman like you with a sweet smile and good posture to boost will surely be a head turner in any place you go...*wink*

To be perfectly honest, When I see a white woman in the Philippines the first thing to come to mind is that she is a leg licker (lesbian) I assume that she is attracted to the filipina girls . Then of course there is always the possibility that she is working in the Phils for one of the IT. companies and or followed her spouse to the Phils when he was transfered.
Of course, being the typical male, I like the first thought better.

Somebody at work here, or a tourist. I will not think the single white lady I am seeing is somebody famous or important - - - otherwise they will have a coterie of aides around them.
And that single white lady is equally at home with us, or she will not be moving about just by her lonesome.

because they just want to be friendly to tourists specially white people...
when you'll ask me what do I think when I see white women in the Philippines, they could be either tourists/foreigners, or businesswomen in the Philippines, missionaries, agent(CIA maybe, jejeje), working for the Philippines/have job(call centers probably), have family in the Philippines, searching for boyfriends/girlfriends, researchers/scientists, helping for foundations, teachers or professors(Universities maybe), ordinary people, etc.....................
hey Joe!!!

i'd say it depends on where you're at. i usually stay around makati and its suburbs so a quick look from me means you're the only white face in a sea of browns.
If I live in the provinces, my stare might come from my anticipating some kind of different behavior or surprise reaction from you to an everyday event like a jeepney stopping to pick up passengers or a street vendor shouting out his wares.
