im trying to learn the maple leaf rag piano piece, but i'm having alittle trouble learning it, does anyone know a direct link to a video of the mpale leaf rag being played? or maybe even a step by step video on youtube, anything helps :]

You haven't told us the nature of your trouble. But I will say what piano teachers *always* say:

"Practice slowly", and "hands seperately."

First master the left hand stride -- until it becomes nearly automatic. Then slowly add the right hand. Once you start to "feel" that syncopation, it will start to get easier.

A tad later than Chopin, it became Scott Joplin, who wrote and performed it, around the initiating of the twentieth Century, although a superb kind of the recordings are later i think of the 20s, some are via Joplin himself. Chopin became too early for disc recordings, although I definitely have heard that there are previous Card Roll recordings utilized in Pianolas of Chopin, so they are going to definitely be very precise recordings of the great guy, yet he became early to mid nineteenth century so had snuffed it via 1849.
