From http://mahendrap.wordpress.com/2007/06/06/india-should-cherish-democracy-not-ban-orkut/
The article states:
An official of the cyber crime cell, who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “We had recently got Orkut to block allegedly defamatory content about Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Chhatrapati Shivaji and Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray. The site has been encouraging anti-Indian policies and people are agitated by it. We have asked cyber cafés to refrain from using the site. But soon, it may be completely banned in India.”

WHO IS BAL THACKERY AND WHY WOULD HE BE PROUD? Well, friends, your surly correspondent, in times of wrath, had an oath: "F ck a duck!" But when I was especially sore, that would not do. This gave way to the sterner oath, "F ck two ducks!" Oath inflation being what it is, my blasts of ineffable fury produced things like, "F ck thirty-two ducks and a heron!" There is something funny to me about ducks. There is a fellow known to the fictive realm as "Main Duck"—so dubbed by Salman Rushdie, this is Bal Thackeray. Bal Thackeray is a fellow in India—associated with an outfit called Shiv Sena. I think he would be impressed by the clear sense of prudence and tough-mindedness Californians displayed today. Here's to the spirit of Bal Thackeray, the main duck of my oaths.
