I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THE OCEAN.. MY BOYFRIEND IS PLANNING ON TAKING ME ON VACATION. I HAVE ONE DILEMMA! I WILL BE ON MY PERIOD THAT WEEK. SO, I WAS TOLD I COULD WEAR A TAMPON, WHICH YOU CAN USE TO SWIM. IS THAT TRUE? CAN I SWIM WITH A TAMPON? SECONDLY, HOW COMFORTABLE AND HOW HARD TO USE THEM.. NEVER TRIED THEM BEFORE. (32 YEARS OLD, THINK IT IS ABOUT TIME)

You can swim in them, but if it's the ocean, I don't think anyone would notice if you did without. Just wash carefully before going in.

Tampons are very comfortable and come with instructions. Good luck!

You are supposed to swim with a tampon. that is why they were invented. You cannot swim with a pad and your period DOES NOT stop in water. Just make sure to change your tampon every 6-8 hours.

They are very comfortable and easy to use. As long as a tampon is inserted properly you don't even feel them. Just read the directions and you will be fine.

You can swim with a tampon in and it will be fine. If you are comfortable with your body and your private area it isn't hard to insert them the appropriate way. Use the information packet in the box for advice on how to use them. Good luck!

Yes, you can swim with a tampon. They are very simple to use, once you do it a few times, it will be like nothing and you'll probably want to use them all the time. I find it much more comfortable and convenient and sanitary than using a pad.

Yes you can swim with a tampon in. I'd suggest on your next cycle to try them out. Since you are a first timer I recommend a plastic applicator. They are the most comfortable to put in. Please don't forget that you are wearing one in the mist of all the fun. Change regularly and if you wear them out of the water, I suggest wearing a pantyliner also.

they dont hurt at all, because when you have them in you cant feel them at all. they are perfectly comfortable. when putting them in it may feel a little "akward" and if it doesn't quite work the first time, keep trying! don't give up. it's true you can swim with them, but make sure you use the proper absorbancy and are able to change it 4-8 hours. remember, sharks are attracted to blood, that's the only bad thing, so you really want to avoid leaking! go to tampax pearl.com and go to "how to use". goodluck

well yes you can swim with a tampon in. I find them comfortable. i like them better than maxi pads. depending on how heavy your flow is would tell you which absorbency is best for you. make sure you are relaxed the first time you use them or it could be painful for you.

you can totally swim in them. at first it will be a little weird but u really cant feel them. i would suggest using a plastic applicator they are smoother to put in. they come with directions and it might take a few tries to get it just right. try putting vaseline on the applicator and aim for the small of your back. good luck!
