Yes, it annoys me to the point where I want to throw the heaviest nearby thing out the window!! It does make it impossible to read. And they think it's cool??? It makes them sound dumb, just like cuss words!!! It shows the world that the American kids are just getting stupider by the second. It shows that they're too lazy to complete ANY job. I have a friend that always types like that. It's so annoying. She says she's too lazy to type the words out. Do people know what it sounds like to others when they say that they're too lazy to do something? It sounds losery!!

Absolutely. Mispelling is a rampant problem here in the United States. It always amazes me how many brilliant people cannot spell the simplest words. There is nothing nicer and neater than to read clearly, well written spelled words.

my brain deciphered that with no problem just as i'm sure yours did.
it's a kid thing and may come into common use. English spelling rules are atrocious anyways.
i can use the letters g h o t i to sound out the word fish, according to the oddities permitted by our current modes. language and spelling are fluid and mutable, as one can see by trying to read Chaucer in the original, for example.

OMG OMG OMG! u r sooo rite. n nt use cpapital ltrs.
Seriously, I just don't get it. It's much easier to type "to" than reach up for the number "2".
My favorite was the twit who used appalling writing, got chastised for it, and posted a hostile follow-up in which she claimed to know how to spell but that she just chose not to.
Willing stupidity -- how sad.

Yes, it does!!!! I'd like to be able to understand what the person is saying the first time I read it and not have to go back and figure it out. Typing all in CAPITALS bugs me too!

Yes, it is like a whole new language. I mean why can't people type out the whole word??? It is not like it takes that much longer.

I consider it the dumbing down of society, no kidding. If any of them think they're going to get jobs with those types of communication skills they're nuts. It doesn't fly in college and employers are not going to put up with it, either. It irks me.

Yes, I'm in my 30's so I didn't grow up in the age of texting. I prefer correct spelling for the most part.

Yes, and I've refused to read their stupid little story or answer their question because of it, too. I call them Rebus answers, since using numbers and symbols for words was called rebus art.
