Our country is going through a hard time, witht he war in Iraq, and the national debt.
Its understandable for people to be mad and frustrated.
but have we lost so much respect for Our president that we know look for every flaw in him.
You dont have to like his ideas or opinions, or actions politically.
But people disrespect him as a human being, and absolutely hate him as a hole.
We have to remember to respect our political leaders.

not political disrespect, I mean as a man, and human, people insult him at every flaw he makes as a person in everyday life.

You make an honorable and worthwhile observation. The President's policital enemies not only discredit him personally, but dicredit the Office of the Presidency. The general public who make sophomoric comments about his competency and intellect, know nothing of either.
It is all a product of skewed and twisted judgment, whose foundation is hatred and envy. Hatred for the ideals and ideas of someone who occupies the office they lust for. And envy because they know their own ideas and ideals will never attain it for them.
Good question. Stay objective.

The "we" part of your question makes an easy answer difficult. "We" have been seriously divided since 2000 over the man in the White House. Those who are conservative have for the most part maintained their respect. There have been some erosions in this group, it's true:
1) some conservative Christians are disgruntled with the realization that, while the administration's political and economic agendas have been substantially advanced, the issues of the Christian right are still pretty much where they were in 2000;
2) there are some traditional fiscal conservatives who have become increasingly disgruntled with the rather startling deficit spending that has characterized the current administration. These are folks who have always been at home in the Republican party because they didn't believe deficit spending was good for the country. You may or may not recall that for most of the last half of the 20th century, conservatives slammed Democrats for conducting fiscal policy like the current administration -- but with lower deficits;
3) there are economic and accounting types who have lost respect for the bogus numbers and the unreliability of the constantly changing explanations by the administration about why it will not alter its tax-cut policies despite soaring deficits;
4) there are some conservatives who were truly undone by Scooter Libby's sentence commutation. I know a long-time Texan who has been a Bush supporter since his governorship who told me, literally, he'd lost all respect for the man after the commutation.
That said, the overwhelming majority of citizens do not pay this sort of detailed attention to politics, and so the numbers who have lost faith in the president are insignificant.
On the other side of the political spectrum, of course, it wouldn't matter what Bush might do: he'd continue to be hated and despised for much the same reasons as he is respected and admired on the right: he's been made into the embodiment of these folks' sociopolitical loves and hates and hopes and fears.
In short, if "we" see him as on our side, "we" respect him. If "we" see him as against us, "we" don't respect him.

Do you even think he deserves respect? Hell no! He's worst than Saddam Hussain. Killed the poor guy for nothing. If i were Saddam, I would kill Bush by laying him on a high way and then bringing a trailer loaded with wet cement and run it over him. Or drown him into water and kill him slowly. I dont think you have any idea how people are living in Iraq now. Life is hell there. We at home enjoying the internet here. People there can't live in peace now. Guns and suicide bombers everywhere. Who would like a life like that? And you are talking about respecting him! You seriously dont know whats going on in Iraq brother. 10 year old gets raped, unborns die before they enter the world, sons and daughter killed! damn!

the man is not all bad. i am watching increasing hatred overtake the population in general. it is not only about bush as a human being or even his administration, it is about no respect for human beings. human beings are fallable. each and every one of us makes mistakes each day. sometimes we make the same mistakes every single day because even though we can see these mistakes, they just are part of our personality. everyone is born with their own personality: ask any parent of more than one child.
no respect is shown to others. that's the problem with this world. i hear my liberal friends tell me, but only at christmas-time (oh, the angry atheists do not like that word, "christmas," so i guess i should say "the holidays), that they are praying for world peace. prayers will never do it. what will do it is recognizing each human being you meet as HUMAN, extending your hand, wishing him well and meaning it. you don't do that with someone that will hurt you nor a maniac, but most people don't fit into those categories. if you refuse to respect all, including GW bush, as HUMAN, then "they," everyone, reacts to a feeling that he is left hated and alone.
yes, people should stop this badmouthing of bush as a person. what is wrong with disagreeing to his policies? isn't that what america is all about, the freedom to have your own opinions and openly discuss them without getting a bullet hole put into your head and your body being thrown into a mass grave just for speaking your mind?
one thing: if someone hated bush so much as to assassinate him, you'd have dick cheney as your president. he's one tough guy--do not think he would not bomb the heck out of the middle east if given the chance. he's smart and knowledgeable, and you would really be scared if he were president. maybe you'd be so scared you'd be afraid to state your dislikes of the man.

we have lost all respect for all federal government much of all other government - keep it current.
america is presently at the cross roads of integrity and corruption - many governments have been there - but it is kinda new to us we will get thru this as we focus more on the health of people and the planet - george can't stay in the spotlight forever - we stopped watching him a very long time ago.
some of us - well most of us are very patriotic and are currently outraged at bush's egotistical treasonous acts.
this is his way of living on in history and our way of being outraged.

I never had any respect for him. People do disrespect him, and "hate him as a[n] [a*s]hole" because he's a liar, a mass murderer, a cheat, and a bullheaded egomaniac.
We respect our leaders - or anyone else - when they EARN our respect. Bush has not even come close. -RKO- 07/20/07

I have... I don't respect a president that disrespects and disregards our Constitution, invades a sovereign nation and places himself above our laws and international laws that the US had agreed to follow.
