If the accident was not your fault, then I believe the other drivers car insurance policy will be paying for your medical bills, and loss of work. If the accident was your fault, i don't know of any program that could help.

You qualify for PIP coverage which will pay for up to $10,000 of your lost wages (at 60% of your average weekly wage, but since it's not taxable it works out to the same take home pay) and/or medical bills.
If you own a car that is registered in Florida, your PIP applies.
If you don't own a car, do you live w/ someone who owns a car? If so, their PIP applies.
If not, if you were a passenger in a car or a pedestrian that got hit, the driver of the car you were in or that hit you applies. That will let you get your wages paid and then put the rest to your meds.
If you have not done so, call the insurance company and tell them you need to make a PIP claim. They will send you the paper work and fill it out (or your dr.'s office can help) - they will take your PIP benefits for payment of your bills but if it's bad, you might want to use your pip for wages first instead. Hope that helps.
