What exactly is this neo con mentality that you fear? Is it the same as the commucrat liberal mentality that neo cons fear?
Does anyone remember when there was a middle ground? Does anyone remember Clinton being a conservative minded Democrat and Ford being a people minded Republican. Did anyone forget Ronald Reagan ending the cold war? Does anyone know who founded the Republican Party in Jackson, Michigan?
Are we so mired into name calling that we don't even ask questions that could get people started thinking on solutions instead of fear mongering. Stop your allegence to people who belong to the same skull and bones societies, that exclude voters and push through a good old boy agenda.
Create solutions and change the agenda. Stop the name calling. Find a real conservative, one who wants laws enforced and not to be told what to do by the government outside of those laws. Find a real liberal that cares about people's right to free trade if they play by the rules.
There are conservatives who want to save the environment
There are liberals who want to have a house and a family.
If we don't start working together we'll argue and fight ourselves into a third world country.

The USA already is a third world country. You don't have universal health care and you treat your poor like they are disposable. The old are being drained by Medicare part D, with the government pretending that they're helping them. If you are not rich when you retire, then you are doomed to be a Wal-Mart greeter until you die. That's what you see in America. Where else in the world do you find WWII vets on motorized wheelchairs with two liquid oxygen systems on their handlebars having to work to pay for life-supporting therapies?

James S answer seems very strange to me since I was born and raised in Europe and have lived in several other countries. Europe is quite nice but of all the countries I have lived in and visited the USA is the best. BTW, the health care in Europe is not that great, it varies somewhat from one country to the next but all in all I would rate it as a medium to mediocre HMO type of system. Long waits to see specialists and in the UK you cannot choose your own physician, one is assigned to you based on where you live. If you don't like him/her, tough!
Socialism is more likely to lead to a third world country, look at how poor all the Eastern European countries are.

8 years. Thank God they don't, so Bush's plan is not working. Only 1 1/2 years to suffer through. Except we will have all of the terrorists Bush created who will be trying to kill us to enact revenge for Bush's evil deeds.

I will continue to support this administration's commitment to the war on terror - on the other hand, feel free to support the likes of Kennedy, Murther, Pelosi, Reid, etc....etc........I say "feel free" only figuratively, because, if you think about it, if the idealistic ding bats mentioned above had the authority to push through their agendas, we would be a third world, bankrupt welfare state in no time at all.

Shall we put this question up with the ones that substitute "Lib"?
Test them logically, see which one has more merit? Which half of the United States that is hated should we ask to test them?
How about the 77% of Americans, who are "LIBERALS", "DEMOCRATS", "REPUBLICANS", and "CONSERVATIVES", and "(fill-in-the-blank)" who say in a recent poll that they love their country. The patriots of our country. The ones who don't hate half of it.
I think they would condemn both statements.
