I just noticed that the lead singer from the noisettes plays bass and fronts the band, the lead singer from flee the seen did that too..... are there any other bands that have a lead singer and bassist player in one ( pref. punk and metal bands)

Yes...Algy Ward fronts Tank....sings lead vocals & plays bass...they are Metal but he played bass for the punk bands The Damned & The Saints....check out their website below

Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.
