Okay. First off, we need to remember that we're trying to find x. So, let's get the x term alone on one side of the inequality. To do this, first let's add -3 to both sides.
3-2x-3>7-3
Doing the subtraction we get:
-2x>4
Now you divide both sides by -2 to get x.
-2x/-2>4/-2
Doing the division we get:
x<-2
The reason for this is because when you divide both sides of an inequality by a negative number, you flip the inequality signs. It makes sense because your making both terms the opposite sign then they were before, so ofcourse the inequality would be the exact opposite.
Therefore the answer is:
x<-2
There you go. I'm glad I could help. :)
P.S.: I will be honest with you. The first time I posted this I made an error, saying x>-2. I had forgotten to flip the inequality sign. I realized this when I saw the other answers.

x is less than -2
3 -2x > 7
solve for x =? so you know the starting point of many valid answers.
-2x = 7 -3
-2x = 4
x = 4/-2
x = -2
if X < -2 (another words a range of less than -2 ===> - infinity the equation will hold true)
a negative of a negative number is a positive number
3 - (-4) = 7
3 -(2 *(-2))=7
3 + 4 = 7

hi!
When solving an inequality, you can treat it the same as an equation. So start by adding negative 3 to both sides:
3 - 3 - 2x > 7 - 3
And you get:
-2x > 4
Then divide both sides by -2 (but remember, when you divide an inequality by a negative number you have to swith the way the ineqaulilty sign is facing; so > [greater than] becomes < [less than]):
-2x/-2 < 4/-2
And you get:
x < -2
x = -2
There you go!

1) subtract 3 from both sides: -2x>4
2) divide by -2 on both sides: x<-2 (when you divide by a negative number you change the inequality sign around)
