I have had the pleasure of watching politics in our country for more than a few years. I will never understand republican politics. They say they are for smaller government yet they want legislation passed against everything the don't like. They say they are for being fiscally responsible, no comment. They say they are for less intrusive government and pass things like the patriot act. They say they support a strong defense, yet the borders are still wide open, any terrorist can walk across. The say they don't support welfare and yet corporations get billions in tax cuts and speaking of taxes they constantly attack democrats about taxing and spending but what of the consequences of their deficit spending? Look at this administration, it has had more people convicted of crimes or stepping down due to the truth about their activities coming to the attention of people. Foley, Vitter, Cunningham, Ney, Delay, Abramoff just to name a few. What makes them so bad to me is the fact they stand on their soap-box preaching but don't pull the curtain back to see the truth. You might not like what you see.
