Sooooooooooo then, what are we paying the Border Patrol Officers for if he is not controlling the borders? hum????

First off, not everyone who crosses the boarder is an illegal, or terrorist.
Many people cross the border to vacation, conduct business, or just to visit.
Tourism is a multi Billion dollar industry, and to close the borders would be to cost many people their livelihoods.
Rather than close them, put sufficient people in place to patrol them.

Because he doesn't really give a damn about America. He just pretends so he can get your votes and, subsequently, your tax money, for himself and all of his appointees and no-bid contracting buddies.
Of course he would dodge the only REAL issue in which a conservative stance (build a fence, increase security, enforce the laws) might make sense.
