was it a violation... or did the question resolve as "no best answer"???
If the latter happened..its not a violation..
Unresolved questions over 16 months old are open on this site, mostly in Singles and Dating... they stay there until someone votes a best answer.. or no best answer... if voted no best answer.. they auto-delete and no violation is given... if the ties breaks.. then you get that odd email...

I checked the digital mail of an account that have been given suspended like 6 months in the past, and there replace right into a contravention observe in there for a query I asked over a year in the past, not something surprises me anymore

Unfortunately, someone can still hit the report abuse button even on RESOLVED questions...that's just wrong. They shouldn't be able to touch them once resolved.
*oh and Boss Brat, if it is an unresolved question in voting, someone went through and voted...it was probably a tiebreaker before that which is why the question was still sitting there.
