My friend's sis is desperate-she's 10 years old and she NEEDS to earn $100 in exactly 2 weeks. She has a friend to help her-anyone... anything... please! she's bugging me! (Remember, she's only 10 years old, and she can't babysit and someone else took the place to be the paper delivery girl!)

Her parents know about it, but her mom and dad said "you have to learn to stop borrowing money from us and learn to earn your own!"
*I asked her what she wanted to do and she told me she didn't want anyone to know*

Tell her to set up a table on her front lawn (if she doesn't live in an apartment) and have a yard sale to sell some of her old toys that she doesn't want anymore. If she doesn't have old toys, there's always the good old lemonade stand.

There is no age requirement for holding a sale or temporary business. Lemonade stands, garage sales, yard sales, buy-and-sell (limited profit) businesses, etc. Another outlet is privately run odd jobs like a house-cleaning service, a pet care service, a general assisting service, etc. There are lots of ways to earn money even when you don't qualify for employment. If you break it down, $100 in 2 weeks means $50 in one week, and about $7.15 a day so all she would need to pull in is $0.30 an hour. Not exactly a hard job to do considering that most people can make that amount of money in 5 minutes. Tell her about these tips. It will help.

Mowing the grass. It doesn't sound fun, but believe me in the summer time if you tell someone you'll mow their lawn for $10, chances are they'll let you. Also, bake sales work well if you can find a good place since the batter is so cheap and she can have her parents help her bake them.
Another thing would be a car-wash. You would need an initial investment of about $5 to $10 for soap and sponges, but you can make about $10 per car. Put up signs and have people come to you so you can use your own water hose. Good luck.

Make some posters advertising jobs your sister can do, such as mowing lawns, walking dogs, etc and pass out to trusted neighbors or relatives. I'd press little sis a bit harder about why she is so desperate to earn $100, hopefully she is not in any kind of trouble.

Here are some helpful tips:
*If she's good at stories: Have her write books or make newspapers about what's going on in her street or a magazine. Magazines and books are easy! Simply take out paper and start brainstorming and write! Recommened cost per magazine: 50 cents or more.
*If she's excellent in math or other school stuff: Even though she's a kid, she can still tutor.
*Take the trash to her local recycling and trash center and gain money that way! (Cash!)
*If she is good at baking or cooking: Have an outside "restuarant", or offer to sell goodies or food to others.
*If she's good at making shirts: Have her create neat tees and sell them for about $2.67 or more ea.
I hope my helpful tips could help others, too!

If you have a consignment shop near you (i.e. Plato's Closet) have her take all of her old clothes items there. Make sure she brings a lot though. Shoes, purses, pants, tops, anything. It's a great way to make fast cash and clean out the closet.

i'm not sure what a 10 year old should be spending that much money on without a parent knowing. and if the parent knew that the kid needed the money then the parent would either give it to them or say that it's not needed to get by.

well now knowing that her parents knwo about it then they obviously dont' think she needs it. unless they're just saying that to get her to do normal kid stuff, chores to earn money. But you worded it weird......10 year old kids don't borrow money from their parents, they get it. This is what's sketchy
