Why did Yahoo get rid of the message boards on News items?

Good question. I guess they got tired of people saying things they didn't approve of. That didn't stop anyone though, this site became real popular after that.

those who see through the red herrings that passes for news were explaining the spin ,

it sort of cancells out [live time ] why they like [need] to spin

I've wondered that myself.
I guess they didn't like what they were reading.
