In college, my roommate worked in the computer lab until late 1-2 nights per week. So we would hit up the vending machine for Dr. Peppers and put booze in them for the last 2 hours of her shift so we were all ready to go out after. We were total dorks.
As for me, I used to do promotions in bars for a radio station. Often the managers would buy us drinks. It was cool.

Yeah, my boss and I went out for lunch a few times and he bought me a drink. It was totally innocent.
