You live ther you should know what is there Christyloo (such a weird-o I love you cousin!) Anyway you could go to Buffalo bills grave it is cool and it is on a mountain it has a great view and the giftshop has lots of cool stuff. You could also go to Casa Binetas ( I prob. spelled that wrong sorry) It is a cool place to eat and there are cool and weird show there. That is all I can think of as I do not live there. Hope this helps.

The Denver Mint
http://www.usmint.gov/mint_tours/index.cfm?action=denver

One of my favorite places is Buffalo Bill's Grave and museum. http://www.buffalobill.org/ It is located above Golden. The best way I've found to get there is to go up I-70 to the Genesee exit and turn south on highway 40. Look for the signs. At the top of Genesee pass is a ranch with a small herd of Buffalo. If they are out, you can see them from the road. If the group is interested, you can stop and take some pictures. At Buffalo Bills grave, there is a small museum, admission is 3.00. It has a lot of memorabilia and artifacts pertaining to Buffalo Bill. If you have any history buffs, it would be fun for them, else, it is just a bunch of old stuff. There is a small gift shop with overpriced souvenirs and rubber tomahawks. The sandwich counter boasts a 1/4 buffalo burger, I think that it is over $5.00 for the burger.

Down the hill from Bill's grave is the Coors Brewery: http://www.beerhistory.com/gallery/holdings/coorslitho.shtml
They still offer the free tour and a sample room which offers soft drinks for under-age folks.

Also down the hill from Bill's is the Red Rocks Ampetheter. http://www.redrocksonline.com/ The park is open during the day for tours, I don't believe that there is an admission, but that may have changed. The boys can climb around the stage and the area. There is no concert scheduled for the 29th as of this letter. If they do schedule a concert, I think that they chase everyone off at 4pm.

There is a small amusement park near Red Rocks called Heritage Square. It has a few rides, some restaurants, and lots of shopping places. There is a country music theater that is loads of fun. I think the tickets are $8.00/ person. Try http://denver.citysearch.com/profile/1874659/ or http://www.alpineslide-bungee.com/ for information.

WATER WORLD http://www.ohwy.com/co/h/hyhiwawd.htm
Water World is located in north Denver. It is a 15-minute drive from the city center. It has the obligatory slides and wave pools, and lots of screaming children. But it is a fun way to cool off.

ELITCH GARDENS http://www.sixflags.com/parks/elitchgardens/home.asp
This is a Six Flags amusement park. There are discount tickets available for Scout groups, I can pick some up ahead of time if you are interested. They are available from the Scout Service Center.

The Denver Museum of Natural History http://www.dmnh.org/ is near City Park, and the Denver Zoo. Your group could divide and each go to what they like, possibly.

The Denver Zoo: http://www.denverzoo.org/ The main attraction this month is a baby elephant. The zoo has been updated recently, and is quite nice.

Ocean Journey http://www.oceanjourney.org/
Is an aquarium near Elitch and the Scout Service Center. It is an interesting trip, but very expensive (in my mind) . I think it is $18 /person.

If you want to see a 14,000 mountain, You should be able to do Mt. Evans http://www.epinions.com/trvl-review-37CD-156F8692-3886290E-prod2/tk_~CB008.1.3
It is 1.5 hours out of Denver, and the road (highest paved road in world) goes all the way to the summit of the mountain. There is nothing at the top but cold wind, snow, and a small pond. You will need jackets, as it will be 20 degrees cooler than Denver, and the wind chill will be much lower. The outhouse is very scary, so go before you get there. The link above tells of a harrowing experience to drive to the top, but I have never felt unsafe. Of course, I havn't taken a huge van to the top, either. If you decide to do Mt. Evans, It will be an all-dayer and will take you 2.5 hours to get back to Denver international. to get there, take 1-70 west to Idaho Springs, then follow the signs.

Dinosaur Ridge south of I-70 near the Golden exit.
