It depends on how much higher and how large the legs are. You can use those end caps for decking posts which come in several different shapes. If your looking for somthing smaller sometimes you can find really nice legs (ball and claw feet) if you go antiquing, or try looking on eBay.

Not seeing the table, this may or may not help. At Home Depot/Lowe's, you could simply buy 4 new turned legs that are the right height. They are usually $4-$6 each. They seem to have them at all sorts of lengths and you could stain them to match the table. That would certainly look better than lag bolts in the bottoms....

If you just want another inch or so the anti-scuff chair leg tips can be screwed into the bottom of the legs.

If you want a lot more you should look to see if the existing legs are screwed into the bottom of the table top. If so you might find longer legs that can be screwed in instead.

You may try and pre drill the bottom of the legs and use a lag bolt. Check out Lowes. two places might have what you need, one is back by the table legs unfinished wood parts and another section is by the specialty hardware section isle, where the chair scuffers are. you may be able to get leg lifters there.

you can buy like one of those bed risers and put it at the leg of the table. it depends on the leg of the table (material, style, shape). if the foot of the leg is fancy it may be better for you to change the foot. if it is made of wood, it'll be easier to repair. you should show a picture of the table at a hardware store and they'll help you pick out what you need.
There are also some decorative ready made pieces which you can just attach to the foot. they usually have it at home depot/ home improvement stores.
