i say this because it seems many liberals assert their "superior" intelligence as always being right and should never be questioned...
many smart people make bad decision as well...bad decision making isn't only for the uneducated...
myself...i graduated from two colleges, speak two languages, Japanese and English...but i never assert nor equate intelligence to good decision making as many liberals do...

Very good at those generalizations, aren't you?

I am a conservative democrat, and I equate good decision making skills with two things: luck (since many decisions, in the end still end up being affected by random factors), and an ability to take risks based on observation.

You could make the best decisions in the world and still be hit by a falling piano. You could make terrible decisions and win the jackpot.

Life is random, and for the most part, human decisions are only an incidental factor in the outcome of people's fate.

Although I, more times than not, side against liberals, I think I have to side with them in this case. This attitude you describe is by no means specific to just liberals. It would seem to me that, in the political arena anyway, that many conservatives have the same belief. For the most part neither side seems to want to budge when a hot issue is debated so how can we conclude that it is just the liberals that think they are right? It seems pretty apparent that both sides think they are right and, ironically, neither side is smart enough to put aside their differences long enough to accomplish anything useful.
This is just the opinion of a normal person though. I didn't go to college, well, there was that one semester but I was drunk most of that, but I did graduate high school.

Intelligence doesn't necessarily lead to good decision-making, but stupidity never does. You just need to look at the current occupant of the White House for proof of this.

Well you can't equate them, but it really helps. What i like about having intelligent people make decisions is that when new information emerges, they can be flexible enough to change course. The cons may call this "flip flop", but being rigid , inflexible, and refusing to listen to new input and adapt your views is really ignorant and has serious consequences.
I'd rather have someone who is open to new ideas.

Intelligence leads to seeking education/knowledge which in turn leads to learning from past history. Dubbya is a duffus, which is why we're fighting the Vietnam War all over again.

Education brings knowlege. I'd much rather have someone making decisions who is educated.

Check the numbers. A far greater percent of Democrats have a college education than cons. Think about it. Why are cons constantly trashing the educated media, scientists and college professors?

My grandfather dropped out of school to take care of his family when he was but a child because of an illness with his father. He was the most hard working man I've had ever known and I respected him more than any person I had ever known.
And you know what I'm a Democrat.......Do not asume anything....

How dare you question liberals and their ways, you know better than that. You should also know they do not understand the difference between common sense/logic and an educated guess.
