Get away from city lights as much as you can and watch high in the sky to the north-northeast. The August meteor shower is called the Persieds because most of the meteors appear within the constellation Perseus. The Persied shower is expected to peak on August 13th.

go out in the countryside - away from city lights and plan to spend several hours each night scanning the sky. you will see them.
