do u guys think it's possible to have life-long friendships, meaningful friendships...if u constantly move and travel?

me, for example, i would like to work for the government...but the career i want requires me to move every 2-3 years. so, is it possible to meet totally awesome people and have a bond that lasts a lifetime with them? or will it be like temporary things where u meet people but after u move from that city/state/country........it basically all ends there?

r there military people who's gone through that and actually kept friendships even after moving away?

YES... im prior military...and moved 6 times in 5 years... I have life long friends and i know they would do anything for me and vise versa...don't worry about your friends though ...because if there your friends they be there reguardless if your near or far. Take that job and do what makes you happy. Live for you...and nobody else...

Yes, it's possible. I have three life friends.. once since high school, one since college and one from one of my duty stations and we still keep in touch and visit once in a while. The fourth just died, but he was Navy (he would get the joke).

it's possible but hard.....

my dad is serving in the Navy, therefore we move a lot since i was a baby.....i always change schools n friends.....it's easy for me to make new friends BUT to keep in touch with the old ones are very difficult.
