I don't think we can prove it is born or choice.
Being gay, I believe I was born this way.
I have no way of proving it to you.
But-- I can tell you I don't like girls. It's natural.
Ask any gay guy. We're not pretending to be gay just to have a bunch bigots hate us.
It's just the way we are.

Let me start with the note that genetic penetrance is never 100%. I have linked below to (I can't believe that I did this) the Wikepedia article on penetrance, because at least when I looked at it -- it was accurate. Genetic penetrance for homosexuality appears to be over 25%, probably nearer to 50% - but nowhere NEAR 100% from studies on identical twins.
An example study would be: "Homosexual Orientation in Twins: A Report on 61 Pairs and Three Triplet Sets" by Whitam, Diamond and Martin (1993) which showed that in 61 pairs of twins, there were 14 pairs of male-male dizygotic (i.e. fraternal) twins. 4 of their 14 twin brothers were also homosexual (28.6 percent), while 10 were heterosexual. There were also 34 pairs of monozygotic (i.e. identical) male twins. 22 of their twin brothers were homosexual (64.7 percent), 10 were heterosexual and 2 were sort-of bisexual and inconclusive.
Other studies have backed up these findings, for example, the Bailey and Pillard study in 1991 found that 51% of the identical twin brothers of homosexual men were also homosexual, and several percentage points more were bisexual.
Now, NONE of these studies indicate or show a higher rate of homosexuality among identical or fraternal twins as a whole -- only among those where one brother is indeed gay. A few studies have also been done on sisters, but I am not conversant with those studies or their results, so will defer to those who may be.
Actually, there is no evidence that there are genes that increase the likelihood of violence, at least of which I am aware. Because of the conditions under which modern humanity evolved, loyalty to group and cooperation were evolutionarily preferred, and in general this weeded out the most extremely violent.
Family difficulties, mistreatment and abuse, together with addiction and feelings of inferiority are the things that lead to violence on the part of most of those who become violent.
Have a wonderful day.
Kind thoughts,
Reyn

if it became a call i may be gay because of the fact the day is long. not extra PMS to handle. not extra temper swings. much less bitc**ng. and from what I even have seen, and those that i comprehend, gay men many times have good educations. and efficient jobs. perhaps it particularly is a case of grass being greener on the different edge of the fence. yet while it became a call, then i might a minimum of be waiting to attempt it out...yet i merely am no longer fascinated in men. did all of us choose for to be heterosexual. while did you're making your decision? some issues are incorrect for differant motives. i'm optimistic that there is a gene or DNA strand which will supply a man or woman a violent habit. this habit motives harm to others interior the community. consequently it particularly isn't any longer suitable to the society. an analogous for pedophilia. this motives harm to our young ones. consequently it particularly is unacceptable. yet 2 men or 2 women people having intercourse with one yet another via decision, does no longer reason harm to everyone or something. so it for the main section is widespread. there are the persons that are apprehensive of them. and men that sense like their manhood is puzzled via them. yet those are the minority.

there are over 10,000 exgays in the USA. All of them state unequivocally that being gay was a choice they made and no longer being gay was also a choice they made. none of the Pseudo scientific " studies" that the gay activist quote can come up with anywhere near the number of People studied , therefor the exgays statement stands as the truth by default.

No, not all twins are both gay or both straight, although a high percentage of them are the same. Remember, we have identical twins that where one is right and one is left-handed.
Genes that don't hurt people are fine. Being born gay or bald or short are fine. Being born extremely violent is not fine.

For those who say it's a choice... where is the benefit? You carry a stigma, are shunned by society, face physical and verbal abuse... Why would someone choose to be gay? And your comparing apples to oranges, anyway. One is a criminal act forced upon a child, the other is between consenting adults.
