You should not vote for the person who is closest to your beliefs and needs. You vote for someone who believes in the american people and who upholds the constitution. It is not the president's job to spread his version of morality to the country.

Oprah is endorsing Obama for President.
Oprah is very intelligent & also very down to earth. She knows Obama's ideas & thoughts on health care, social security & what he wants to accomplish & change.
I hope everyone does their homework this election & learn all you can about every one of the candidates. I thought I wanted Hilliary as President until I looked in to a few things & now I DO NOT want her to be President. You have to vote for the person that comes the closest to your beliefs & needs. This is not going to be easy or funny as some people have made it out to be.
Things have to change & Oprah sees change with Obama.

Duh, he is black.
There are other reasons I am sure, he is a Democrat and he represents something new and unspoiled by Hollywood. Oprah should be the expert on that. It was on her show that we started to see Tom Cruise fall apart. She is one of the richest and most powerful women on the planet and she has done her best to not let it spoil her. Oprah has stayed away from a Hollywood lifestyle, sure she is rich and lets it show, but who else gives away cars to her guests. She hasn't forgotten her roots and she probably doesn't trust Hillary Clinton's roots. She was a southern lawyer which to a lot of black people equals slaving owning snake. I don't think that Oprah thinks that about Hillary, but she doesn't have to worry about any of that with Obama. So Obama gets her support.

Oprah knows quality. She is able to look beyond gender and color differences in the candidates and back the one with the best qualifications to be the next US Prez. Many voters will only consider the white male candidates. Many of us however, like Oprah, who carefully consider ALL the candidates recognize that Obama is the cream of the crop. And we come from all walks of life and in a variety of colors.

Who says she is ? She is smart and in the voting booth I do not believe Obama is the name she will check.. He does not have enough experience yet, and his wife is not thrilled about being in the public eye all the time ,, don't bet on him to win,, and Oprah knows this....

She supports his views; but more importantly, if he got in and she gace to his campaign, this gives her access to the white house; remember oprah didn't get to where she is by being dumb; oprah has interests and obama can serve those interests. remember that!

Most of you are saying it's because he's black. That's not the reason. Obama is a close personal friend. He is a friend because he's black.
