El Alamein, near Cairo Egypt- Bernard Montgomery of the British, a tank general, turned back field marshall erwin rommel and eventually chased them back to tunisia. turned the tide of the war in africa.
Stalingrad, Russia- German advance into Russia was stopped and turned back.
Battle of Midway, Pacific Ocean- Turned the tide of naval warfare in the pacific from Japanese to US favor.
