Negative people are all around us. People with these viewpoints have given up on the beauty of living. It is easy to blame everyone else for their social problems. It may also be that younger people have this idea that love only exists if for those under 30. All I can say is that at fifty, love is not a lost art.

True love knows no age barriers - at age 40 people have reached a stage where they know what they want and have learned some from their experience and mistakes. Love later in life beats puppy love any day of the week - true romance takes time and wisdom to be able to enjoy.

Of course, no matter what subject you are talking about, there will be believers and cynics. But, it's really individual for each person.
In my experience, it's gotten better. The whole love, romance, etc. I have been married for 27 years to the best man in the world. He is my true soulmate.
Now it wasn't always this peaceful and happy.
When we were young we had our good times, bad times and in between times.
But, at this age, we are sure of what we want out of life. And we have grown to know each other, truely know each other's thoughts, feelings and actions. We are like one person, with two personalities. And that is not a bad thing. We are a team, we work all our problems out together, we are best friends. We would rather be with each other than anyone else.
We have melted together, and we are close. And blissfully happy. And yes, in love and lust with each other.
So I would again say that it's the individual experience.
And the key, is to see inside yourself and know what you want out of life, and your partner. And then to communicate everything. If the person is your true soulmate, you will be able to communicate anything to them, and they will understand. They will be there for you no matter what.
And you vise versa for them.
People who say it's not possible, have not done one of two things. They have either not met the one, the right person that completes them, or they are not listening to their inner voice and being COMPLETELY HONEST with themselves about what they find. They have to be willing to see the things in themselves that make them unhappy.
Either way, they are holding themselves back.........
But, it's possible to be in love and happy if you want it.

Yes it exists!!! My fiance and I (over 40 and over 50 respectively) are happily in love. Happiest and most compatible relationship I've ever had. I'm guessing when you're out reading body language, the people over 40 don't have their tongues stuck in each other's mouths or their hand all over their partner's butt. :-P

Not a matter of True love, but compatible love. Now thast you are older, wiser and sexier, you know what you want and deserve. No more buff body and good hair love, now its gotta job and home with some stability love. Baggage is just a way of life, if they didn't have any I would be worried.....

Of course. Age knows no love. Just look at my parents. Divorced well over 10 years ago, they are each re-married
