how long do growing pains last?

my leg has been hurting for like the whole day, it kills so bad!is it growing pains? its sort of a dull heavy pain, im 14 and ive already gotten my period, im left handed if any of that info helps

Yes, it could be growing pains but please let your mom know and also have this checked out by your doctor to have them evaluate the situation further to see what they think could be causing the problem.
