first off, it will be expensive, very expensive, lol. You will need a completely new front axel, a new drive shaft, a new tranfer case. You will need to cut a hole in the floor for the selector, if thats the way you go,(thats the cheapest way I know). I know it will cost about about 7-10 grand in parts and labor, maybe about 5 just in parts, if you get some used. I think you might be better off trading in, and gettin a 4 wheel drive to start off with.

Lots and lots of money, lots of time, and many failed attempts. Its 100 times cheaper, and easier to get rid of the 2WD model and buy a 4WD.
Its hard to say on cost because parts availability and prices will vary from location to location. Plus drivelines will have to be modified, plus electronics on the vehicle will have to be changed, and reprogram the computer (expensive).

You will need a transfer case $2500.00 and two split shafts $79.00 each.
You will need to covert your differential $4987.00
Change over your front and rear coils and struts $884.00
Drill out your floorboard, install an updriver drivelink shaft with cable $340.00
Add your seals, truck mounts, under your floorboards $122.00
Oil for transfer case $7.12
New computer, transfer link gauge, and new fuse for your truck to understand 4 wheel conversion $3575.00
To build your vehicle from parts is a little over 2 million dollars.
Which is why your truck would be better if you sold it, and bought a 4 wheel drive.
Also if you wanted to install a towing package to it, that would be another $800.00
