my cell phone's ring tone isn't as loud as it use to be after i dropped it. i can barely hear the ring tone even when it's set on the loudest mode! Is there a way I can fix this on my own?

its not that 'old fashioned' its a sony ericsson w300i flip phone

If you had an old fashioned telephone you could fix it or get a new part. But, cell phones are one integrated circuit, you would need a microscope and microscopic tools to make such a simple repair.

Your problem is a simple loose connection and could fix it in 15 minutes with a soldering iron if it was a conventional phone, but due to the size if you try a repair, any repair, you will do more damage to the phone in the attempted repair, and you may not even fix the problem. The only solution is to get a new phone. Welcome to the principle of planned obsolesce; your modern devices are designed with a short lifespan on purpose so you will have to upgrade. This will also teach you that you need to take care of your electronic devices, too much abuse will destroy them.

Sorry for the expensive lesson, I hope your new cell phone doesn't cost too much. But, you have meet the realities of the 21st century.

no you will have to get a new phone or ask your phone company to send it out to get fixed
