I had a heart murmur when I was 2, 2 strokes when I was 5, eye surgery when I was 5 (I was cross-eyed), & nose surgery twice when I was 10. I'm not suffering anything physical now, except obesity.

& I suffer a shitload of mental disabilities.

You may still be considered physically disabled if these illness caused any of your other problems. I would stay on disability if you can, at least until you know you can get a good job. You need good medical coverage and very few jobs have this. You don't need to feel as if you are not "doing your share;" you have been through a lot and that is what disability is for.

No I actually don't think so (though you may want to speak to your doctor or specialist about your status). You're only considered disabled if your situation disables you presently in some way. If any of these situations cause you present problems (such as the strokes causing motor problems, etc) then you may qualify. But if you're functioning fine and these issues aren't issues anymore than no. You're able as far as those are concerned. I believe....

Obesity can be considered a disability in certain cases...... So can mental health issues if they make daily functioning difficult. But you'd have to be assessed at by a doctor and then he'd issue you a form stating that you were disabled. At least that's how it works in canada.

As long as you can walk without the use of an assistive device (cane, walker etc) and are able to feed, bathe, and dress yourself you are not considered physically disabled.

The wording of your question, your vocabulary, and your spelling and the punctuation exhibited indicate that you are not mentally challenged, or mentally disabled.

You are probably just suffering from depression and are overeating to compensate or satisfy the feelings you are having, which in turn has caused you to be over weight.

Put the fork down, get out the bicycle, and get on the road to healthy living. You have a lot to look forward to!!!!

Ouch you have suffered quite a bit, I would have to say yes you can be considered disabled. But do you want to be considered disabled like for disability check or do you want to be considered able as in to date someone? That is just how your perceive yourself then. I hope you feel better soon. Take your medications, that's very important in the road to recovery.
